A new Lutheran Advocacy video is available for everyone to access and share how we are church together for the sake of the world God loves.  In addition to explaining how our faith-rooted advocacy happens, the video also gives disciples tips in how to be advocates, with guidance for conducting visits with policymakers.  Underwritten and prepared with the assistance of ELCA Mission Advancement, the resource provides an overview of  the LAMPA story and what it means to be church in the public square.

Through baptism, we are called to serve our neighbors and steward God’s good creation. As Lutherans, our attention turns to the policies that make a broader difference in our lives and the lives of our vulnerable neighbors. It is important that we add our voice into the process. Learn about six tips to engage your elected officials through the ministry of advocacy.

Footage in the video was recorded during the 2019 ELCA Advocacy Convening in Washington, D.C.  You might recognize several LAMPa advocates in the footage!  We invite you to share this video with congregations and outreach organizations.  Access the video link here and on the video resources part of the LAMPa website.
