We’re making progress toward ensuring that all counties benefit from the State Housing Trust Fund (PHARE). Thanks to your efforts, 22 state Senators and 24 Representatives are now cosponsors of the Housing Trust Fund bills, SB 1380 and HB 2434.

SB 1380 was voted out of the Senate Urban Affairs and Housing Committee, and HB 2434 is ready for a vote by the House Urban Affairs Committee when the General Assembly returns.
This represents a significant bipartisan effort to address homelessness, fight blight, and create jobs by bringing the benefits of the Housing Trust Fund to all 67 counties.
But we’re not done yet.

The legislators return to Harrisburg Monday, September 15th.  This will be a special call-in day in support of these bills. Please call your lawmakers on that day! Find your lawmakers.

While they are still in the district, please let them know how important funding the State Housing Trust Fund would be for your community.  Take just a moment and ask them to cosponsor and support SB 1380 or HB 2434 if they have not done so already, and to talk to their leadership about passing the legislation.
