Martin Luther King Day is a day to remember and honor his tireless fight for justice and to join others in community to serve and advocate for a more just world. Together, we can make it a “day on,” not a “day off”–a day for doing the work to which we are called and leading with love.

Some of our Pennsylvania synods of the ELCA are planning days of service, worship, and events. Please see the links below for more information. We will add more events from around the Commonwealth as they are available.

Southwestern Pennsylvania Synod

Lower Susquehanna Synod

Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod

Let us know what you are doing in your synod or congregation by sending a note to LAMPa@lutheranadvocacypa.org. We would be happy to connect and to share advocacy resources to complement the service you are doing for MLK Day.
