Misinformation and disinformation undermine not only confidence in elections, but also the trust needed to govern ourselves in a democracy. Knowing that spreading falsehoods can lead to very real harm to our neighbor, we should strive to be trustworthy in all that we share. At LAMPa, this is always our goal.

Look for our Faith + Elections logo for reliable information this election season. We will be sharing important dates and updates from the Pennsylvania Department of State here and on social media. As we support civic engagement, we encourage voters to start at the PA Department of State website. There, you will find information about registering to vote, how to report a problem, how to track the status of a mail-in ballot and other guidance, including fast-checking election claims. You can also sign up to receive updates from the Department of State.

You can also use their website to locate your official county elections office website for more local information, including polling places, policies, processes and ways to contact your county elections officials. We encourage you to sign up to serve as as a poll worker to help elections run smoothly, safely and efficiently — helping your neighbors vote without long wait times and creating a positive civic experience for your community.  It’s also a wonderful way to see and serve your neighbors! Poll workers are paid a stipend by their counties, and most can serve in half-day shifts. It’s a great experience for high school students, who may be eligible to serve with the permission of a parent or guardian and their principal.  Learn how to become a student poll worker.
