SUMMARY:Homes Within Reach Conference
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe 2022 Pennsylvania Homes Within Reach Conference will be held Dec. 7-9 at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center. \nThe theme for this year’s conference\, “A Stronger\, More Equitable Tomorrow\,” reflects our focus on achieving a just and equitable housing system for ALL Pennsylvanians. The conference will feature more than 50 workshops and plenary sessions on topics ranging from affordable housing development\, utilities\, eviction prevention\, homelessness services\, homeownership\, community revitalization\, and the impacts of COVID-19. We hope the sessions will spark rich conversations on what can and should be done to make sure every Pennsylvanian has a home within reach\, regardless of race\, income\, or ZIP code. Join us for a special case study into the partnership between Just Mediation Pittsburgh and the Allegheny County Housing Authority as they work to resolve resident crisis before it leads to an eviction filing. \nMediation is an ideal intervention for landlord tenant disputes. Mediation allows for both sides to come to the table\, gives space to identify the root of the conflict\, and provides equal agency to landlord and tenant to find a solution that works for both.
