Join LIRS for our first-annual Stand Up, Speak Up Interfaith Prayer Vigil on Sunday, May 23!
Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service is excited to invite you to our first-annual Stand Up, Speak Up Interfaith Prayer Vigil. Together with interfaith communities across the country, we are lifting a unified voice to welcome and advocate for immigrants and refugees coming to the United States. Our goal is to focus less on the differences that can separate us—our faith backgrounds, ethnicities, and countries of origin—and demonstrate that our commonalities—compassion, love, and humanity—are what unify us.
The Stand Up, Speak Up toolkit provides a variety of resources that outline tangible ways for you to support immigrants and refugees and engage in interfaith prayer, provide educational information on the recent impacts of policy and the global pandemic, and show how LIRS and our partners have stepped in and stepped up with the support of our communities across the nation.
