Press Conference and Advocacy Day for LGBTQ Nondiscrimination Protections in Pennsylvania
Feb 3, 2020
Join LAMPa on Feb. 3, as lawmakers, faith and business leaders, LGBTQ Pennsylvanians, and allies hold a landmark press conference calling for statewide protections against discrimination for LGBTQ people. Speakers will explain the urgent need for all LGBTQ Pennsylvanians to be able to live and work without fear of discrimination or harassment. The Press Conference is scheduled for noon in the Pennsylvania Sate Capitol Main Rotunda.

Please RSVP here if you would like to allow organizers to help arrange advocacy meetings with legislators.
Hosted by the Pennsylvania Youth Congress, this event will be the formal launch of Pennsylvania Values which is the coordinated statewide public advocacy campaign for nondiscrimination legislation. The press conference will share the level of support that has now coalesced to back LGBTQ nondiscrimination protections.
More than half a million LGBTQ Pennsylvanians are vulnerable to discrimination every day because of a lack of express and enduring protections at the state level. Pennsylvania remains the only state in the Northeast without an inclusive statewide nondiscrimination law. Passage of protections in Pennsylvania is a critical step to ensure LGBTQ people are treated with dignity in employment, housing, and public spaces.
