Join Lutherans Restoring Creation Connections Call
Everyone is invited to join the monthly Lutherans Restoring Creation Connections Call on Tuesday, August 11 at 2 p.m. EST. Connections Calls usually focus on Good Green News… but as a community of kindred spirits it’s time those on the call share some of what they know about grief. There is no getting around the multiple sources of anxiety, frustration, and loss we are moving through. Our Christian teachings help us work with this pain.
The next Connections Call will consider how to acknowledge the feelings of despair without sinking into the abyss. For some pre-reading, please check out this week’s Lectionary Commentary by Amy Carr and Miranda Perrone’s 7 Stages of Grief for the Anthropcene.
Lutherans Restoring Creation is a grassroots movement promoting care for creation in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. This is accomplished by cultivating a network of dedicated stewards of earth and neighbor who proclaim God’s promise of hope and healing for all.
