Climate Change: Local Impacts, Awareness, and Action

Oct 16, 2019

Join the Cumberland Conservation Collaborative as they present a forum on Climate Change: Local Impacts, Awareness, and Action on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 from 6:30PM—8:30PM at Dickinson College in the ATS Auditorium.

Presenters include: John Baley, Susquehanna River Basin Commission; Matthew Steinbugl, National Weather Service; Greg Czarnecki, PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources; and Peter Buckland, Ferguson Township, Centre County and Penn State Sustainability Institute. There will be opportunities for audience conversation and interaction on next steps.

The Cumberland Conservation Collaborative (CCC) seeks to act together to protect, restore and enhance natural resources and quality of life in Cumberland County. The potential impacts of climate change are far reaching and may be different in various parts of the world. As a region we need to recognize and prepare for the impacts of climate change in our local community. Come be a part of this important conversation where we will explore the science of climate change, the associated challenges before us and learn what other communities are doing to address those challenges.
