Celebrate Earth Hour: The Sacred Space Between Us
For the last several years, Pennsylvania Interfaith Power and Light (PAIPL) has invited people to create events across the state to celebrate Earth Hour, an annual opportunity to gather together, power down, and celebrate the wonder of our planet through song, prayer, poetry and candlelight (or solar-powered lanterns!).
This year, given the limitations of meeting in person, PAIPL encourages everyone to gather virtually Saturday, March 28th, 7:45-8:30 pm — all across the state, and beyond. Please register and learn more here (free) to join PAIPL.
At 7:45 pm, Saturday, March 28th Pennsylvania Interfaith Power & Light’s friends and supporters will fill their social distance with love for the earth and each other. This internet-based gathering over Zoom will include live music, earth prayer and reflection culminating with a candle-lit count down to Earth Hour.
At 8:30 there will be a pause while some folks exit to observe Earth Hour in their own homes (while of course practicing social distancing!). Others may stay on the line until 9:30 to orient and then engage in 45 minutes of practices forming a spiral of Active Hope from The Work That Reconnects.
PAIPL will be offering virtual practice opportunities every Tuesday evening starting March 31st. Please join them!
