“Bringing Light to Dark Times: Workshops on the Urgent Transition to 100% Clean Energy”

The Eco-Justice Collaborative invites of  the Philadelphia Yearly Meeting welcomes members of the community to join them on Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. to focus on “Bringing Light to Dark Times: Workshops on the Urgent Transition to 100% Clean Energy”. The event will be held  in the Rufus Jones Room of the Friends Center in Philadelphia.

Morning workshop sessions are scheduled from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Topics include: 100% Renewable Meetings to 100% Renewable Communities Getting to net zero and how to encourage action to create local energy policies. Workshop leaders are Paula Kline, Eco-Justice Collaborative (Westtown Monthly Meeting) and Chuck Marshall, Central Baptist Church, Wayne, PA.

Afternoon sessions  are scheduled from 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm. Topics include: Renewable Energy Opportunities; Efficiency for your Meeting and Home; and Solarize: How neighbors can work together to install solar Community level renewable opportunities.  Workshop leaders are Liz Robinson, former director of the Energy Coordinating Agency, (Central Philadelphia Meeting) and Mark Connolly, engineer (Schuylkill Meeting).
